Everyday Mathematics© Everyday Mathematics© is the math
curriculum program adopted by RSU #1 for grades K-6. It was implemented during the
2001-2002 school year starting with grades K,1and 2. In the fall
of 2002
grades 3 and 4 where added. By the fall of 2003 grades K through
6
participated in the program.
Everyday Mathematics©K-6 was developed through the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project (UCSMP), whose mission is to change mathematics education in the United States. UCSMP studied how young children learn and interviewed hundreds of students and teachers. The Everyday Mathematics© curriculum is a result of the collaborative efforts of researchers, mathematics educators, administrators, students and classroom teachers. Analytic Writing Model.
Writing has simply been divided into the six areas, or traits, that
teachers value most: ideas and content, organization, voice, word
choice, sentence fluency, and writing conventions. Below is a Six
